The
UAE Cabinet on Sunday praised Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman for
building an international coalition and leading the fight against Houthi
terrorists in Yemen.
The Cabinet expressed full confidence in
‘Operation Decisive Storm’ and said the goal to protect Yemen’s integrity and
security will be achieved.
The Cabinet said the operation to oust Houthi terrorists will ensure security and stability in GCC countries.
Also on Sunday, Abdul Latif bin Rashid Al-Zayani, secretary general of the Gulf Cooperation Council, said that the Houthis must lay down their weapons and get out of government institutions if they want to be part of the Yemeni National dialogue aimed at resolving the crisis.
He made his remarks at the 26th Arab summit which concluded its meetings in Sharm El-Sheikh.
“The Yemeni crisis emerged since 2011 and that is why the Gulf initiative had called for a dialogue between the Yemeni national parties for ten months reaching to an agreement that was signed by all Yemeni political spectra, nevertheless the crisis resurfaced again as we have been witnessing.”
Al-Zayani expressed his satisfaction over the positive spirit which prevailed in the meetings of the Arab leaders. All people have acknowledged that the Arab countries share the same fate, he said.
